Cosmetic Lasers: Buying vs Renting

One of the biggest decisions people have to make if they’ve decided to start their own cosmetic laser business is to buy or rent lasers. Starting a company requires planning out your finances, and you should carefully consider all options before making a rash or abrupt decision.

Here’s my two cents: Many people in the past have had complaints when they buy a brand new laser because newer ones are quickly being released several months after, leaving them with a product that’s not up to date. This is bad for a couple of reasons. One, your clients aren’t going to want to keep coming back if you’re using old technology. Two, you’ll most likely have to start offering your services at a lower price because you’re using outdated technology and therefore cannot compete with competitors who are using state-of-the-art cosmetic lasers.

Also, you’ll save yourself a lot of money in the end if you rent or lease a laser instead of buying one. It may not seem like it, but it’s true. Technology is constantly being updated, so save yourself from the trouble and potential complaints from your clients and rent the latest and greatest laser machine.

Where can I rent cosmetic lasers?

There’s a wide variety of websites out there that allow you to rent cosmetic lasers, but here’s just a few:

Lasers4Rent
GotMedX
LaserMedRentals
The Laser Outlet
Carolina Laser Rentals
Renting Laser

You can also do some research to see if there’s any cosmetic laser rentals in your area.

However, if you’re not starting your own business, the facility you work for will most likely already have cosmetic laser machines ready for you to use–so it saves you the trouble of worrying about buying, leasing, or renting.

At National Laser Institute, you’ll be able to train on the most advanced cosmetic laser machines that are offered. It will give you a feel for how they operate plus it’ll give you real, hands-on practice with clients.
